WEEKEND LUNCH AT AURA RESTAURANT IN NATIONAL GALLERY SINGAPORE

Two of our friends, Crese and Albert, finally tied the knot two weeks ago and they invited JM and me for a luncheon. We arrived around 12 noon and since the couple’s reservation was at 1pm, we had time to look around and take nice photos.

The couple chose an Italian restaurant at the fifth floor of the National Gallery Singapore - Aura. It’s a fancy-pants restaurant and the service was really commendable.

CELEBRATING MILESTONES AT JAMIE'S ITALIAN - SINGAPORE

February is a very special month for JM and I as we celebrate our first wedding anniversary and his birthday. Since we are still in a long-distance relationship for our first anniversary, we had a late celebration when JM had his vacation here in Singapore two weeks ago.

TRAVEL DIARY: THE MUSICAL CITY OF VIENNA AUSTRIA

As the hometown of Mozart, Vienna is often associated with talented musicians. I was able to witness this with our recent trip to this beautiful city.

While walking along Karlsplatz, we saw a lady skilfully playing her harp; on the way to the Schönbrunn Palace, we passed by an old man playing his flute; and on our last day, there was a man playing his accordion on the metro. It was truly a feast for the ears!

HOW I GOT A MULTIPLE-ENTRY US VISA IN JUST 2 DAYS

I always get jitters whenever I need to apply for a visa. It feels like someone is scrutinizing you and trying to find any fault just so they have a reason to deny you.

For a Filipino passport holder like me, I need to apply for a visa for most of the countries on my travel list, and one of them is the US. I figured that it would be better to apply for my visa this early, while I am still in Singapore, since I have already established my career here. That way, the consul has less reason to deny me, haha! The US Visa Application process is similar in Singapore and in Manila, so no need to worry about that.
