February is a very special month for JM and I as we celebrate our first wedding anniversary and his birthday. Since we are still in a long-distance relationship for our first anniversary, we had a late celebration when JM had his vacation here in Singapore two weeks ago.

Jamie Oliver is one of the chefs I really admire. I remember watching his shows on TLC and I admire his cooking skills. He has this aura that tells you cooking should be very easy. It has been a few years since he opened his first restaurant in Singapore, but I did not have the chance to try it. So while looking for a place to celebrate our February milestones, I thought why not try the second branch of Jamie’s Italian at Forum, along Orchard Road?

For the antipasti, we had Jamie’s Burrata (Buffalo burrata with the best tomato salad, basil & extra virgin olive oil) priced at SGD15.95. Burrata is made from mozzarella and cream. For me the taste is very muted, which is why it is best paired with tomatoes and olive oil.

For the pasta, we got intrigued by the Oxtail Lasagne and decided to try it (Herby 12-hour slow-cooked oxtail & Chianti ragù layered with pasta, béchamel, mozzarella & Parmesan) priced at SGD29.95.

We also had The Parma pizza (Fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, San Daniele prosciutto, rocket & Parmesan) priced at SGD27.00. The saltiness of the parma ham is the perfect topping for my pizza.

All that we ordered were very good and I would love to dine here again with my husband.
