Two of our friends, Crese and Albert, finally tied the knot two weeks ago and they invited JM and me for a luncheon. We arrived around 12 noon and since the couple’s reservation was at 1pm, we had time to look around and take nice photos.

The couple chose an Italian restaurant at the fifth floor of the National Gallery Singapore - Aura. It’s a fancy-pants restaurant and the service was really commendable.

We started with the antipasti selection of Parma Ham with Burrata Cheese, Salt and Paprika Calamari, Burnt Wheat Orecchiette with Pesto and Porcini, Trofie with Crab Busara, and Tuna Tartare and Avocado Crostino

I especially liked the Parma Ham with Burrata Cheese and the Burnt Wheat Orecchiette with Pesto and Porcini.

For the main dish, JM and I both chose the snapper, while the others had the Tajima Beef Sirloin with Truffle Potato and Asparagus and Smoked Duck with Foie Gras, Young Spinach and Marsala Wine Sauce. Good thing we ate a lot of the antipasti as the main dish was very small haha!

As for the dessert, JM had the lemon tart while I had the tiramisu.

Just outside the restaurant is an art installation of Rirkrit Tiravanija which is called untitled 2018 (the infinite dimension of smallness). It is a bamboo maze with a Japanese tea house at the middle.

We super enjoyed the food and the company. Congratulations to the happy couple! We love you both!
