While looking for a hotel in Vienna, my blogger friend Joy suggested Fourside City Center. I checked the pictures and reviews on TripAdvisor, and I liked them, so I booked a room with them via Agoda.

We reached the hotel around 11am. Since check-in time is at 3pm, we left our luggage first and looked for a place to eat.

We were surprised that most of the restaurants and shops near our hotel were closed on Sundays. We settled for a quaint Japanese fast food place for our first meal in Europe. Funny though that after our trip to Japan, eating Japanese food would never be the same.

After we had lunch, we went back to the hotel to wait for check-in. It was only 1pm and surprisingly, the front desk officer informed us that our room was ready. They must have seen how tired we were from the 15-hour flight.

Check-out was very smooth. We just gave back the key card to the receptionist and we were ready to go.

The Room

We booked a Superior Non-smoking Room for EUR124 (PHP7,900) for two nights excluding breakfast. The room is spacious and the bed was very soft.

There are also blackout curtains in the room so that you can sleep even with the sun shining outside.

They did not provide slippers in the room, though.

The Bathroom

I liked how modern the bathroom looked, but like most European hotels, they do not have a bidet. A shower curtain or glass enclosure in the shower area would also be a good addition, so that the water does not splash into the toilet area.

They have provided some toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, although there was no toothbrush and toothpaste available.

Since Fourside City Center is ironically outside the city center, you will have to travel back and forth to go sightseeing. This was not really a problem for us as the mass transportation in Vienna is very efficient.

On the plus side, the Schönbrunn Palace is only two stations away from the hotel.

Breakfast Options

For an additional EUR10 (PHP640) per person, you can enjoy their breakfast buffet.

There are a lot of choices of pastries, cheeses, sausages, bacons and others in the buffet.

There are also different kinds of juices and a WMF coffee and cocoa machine.

We enjoyed our stay in Fourside City Center and would definitely recommend it to friends.
